I am am a retired Graphic Artist, who spends most of his day beating my head on the side of this infernal tin box they call a computer, while my 17 year old son and 13 year old daughter laugh and tell me "it's not that hard Dad!"
BIO
I have made my living for Forty some years as both a fine and commercial artist. I paint traditional art in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pen and ink and pastel. I have a working knowledge of most commercial mediums such as markers and airbrush. I have worked in design studios and for major corporations including eight years with HP, I am also a sign painter (before computers), Though I was one of the first people in my area to use the original Gerber vinyl cutting layout machines, and wield a pretty mean lettering brush! I am also a trained draftsman and have designed many large pylon and neon signage including work for Albertson's and Las Vegas Casinos. I spent a few years as a screen printer and owned my own t-shirt business at one time. In my twenties I wanted to be nothing more than a comic book artist, but other than a few small one off jobs it was a dream never realized. After suffering through a series of retinal detachments in the late 1990's that left me blind in one eye and without a lens in the other I decided to try computer art, I started with Poser 3 and currently use Poser 7. I also still use Photoshop 7, ( if it ain't broke why fix it !) and currently have painter 10, however no matter what people say it is not the same as actually using traditional mediums though it does have it's uses. I live in Boise Idaho, one of the worst most backwards States in the union and hope to move to Oregon soon. I am a single dad who has raised my two children since they were born and they keep me on a somewhat even keel through life.
