I've always been creative but never did much with it. I find myself at a crossroads in my life and wondering if I can learn enough on my own to someday earn a living in a creative area. This area is my first real effort exploring digital art...BIOI am 42 and the happy father of a great little boy, and husband to a sweet and wonderful woman. I have always been creative and a bit of a wild thinker. Coming from an immigrant family accustomed to hard manual labor on a farm in Cuba my folks were good people, but viewed my childhood art and writing as a waste of time -certainly not 'practical' 'respectable' or even a 'real job.'

As a result I've tried for years to force myself into 'practical' jobs, but frankly, while I did very well in a variety of jobs in retail management, sales, and on the internet I haven't found that outlet I need.

A variety of unexpected situations now find me at the age of 42 going full circle to try and develop skills in areas that were always my first love. Hopefully by rubbing shoulders with some of you creative types I'll get where I want to go.
