Hello Renderosity fans,
What can I say? I am a big fan of Bricklin automobiles, because they were independently designed to become North America's first Safety vehicle, and they were built in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Innovative for 1974, they did not include an ashtray or lighter. As well, they had the first safety bumpers, designed to retract into the body on impact, without damaging the car body. The 'Gullwing' doors were powered and included side-impact protection. Unfortunately for the taxpayers of New Brunswick, the General Vehicle Corporation, and Bricklin Canada went bankrupt in October of 1975, having produced less than 3000 cars. There were 772 produced for 1974, 2100 for 1975, and only 34 for the 1976 model year.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. Most will likely be of the Bricklin SV1, however I will attempt some variety.
