I'm fifty-five, living in Toronto. I've been hammering away at the various concepts in 3D for a few years now. Just lately I'm beginning to understand some of the more basic concepts in modelling and texture. I use Carrara, Poser, Bryce and Animation Master, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, GoLive and Premiere.BIOI was a free-lance senior lighting technician in the movie business up until 1996. Mostly un-remarkable stuff...Adderly, The Hitchhiker, Twilight Zone etc. You might have seen The Fly, Bootie Call (Jamie Foxx is a really cool guy) or YoungBlood. Diagnosed with MS in 1996, I've acquired computer graphic skills, with an eye to the elusive goal of modelling, texturing and animating my own characters in 3D. The lighting concepts in 3D are similar to the real world, but vastly different in some ways. Unlike real lights, you have to render with Global Illumination to see the subtle effect of bounced and reflective ambience found in the real world. I'm still translating real-world knowledge into 3D terms.
