I spent about a week on the image, coming up with a general concept, deciding on a kind of gothic steampunk feel (I've been doing quite a bit of steampunk stuff recently). The actual setup and rendering took about a day, then I played around with it in photoshop for a few days on and off until I was satisfied. Inspired by the mythos of Lovecraftian horror...Something ancient and evil is summoned from the depths of the Earth. PoserPro2012, Cinema4D and Photoshop CS5
