Image Title: How Many Aces?? (original - no post work)
This is the original image without post work (except it was reduced to 1/2 scale to fit contest parameters). The general process to get to this point was to prepare the figure by adding additional morphs to the base figure (Sahel), then add the cloths (Fancy Punk by zoro_d), and find an appropriate interior for the image. Once the interior scene was selected, a pose was selected and modified to meet what I wanted (and to ensure the dforce simulation would not explode), the chair was moved into place, and other scene elements (props) were added and arranged (the placement and addition of elements was an iterative process that continued until the image was almost complete). The sky image was selected (Iray Worlds - the sun was turned off) and rotated to give the view of the sky I wanted to show through the door. The Lighting was then added to give the light effects I wanted that included 6 spot lights, and two point lights (near the sconces so they could project the proper light "needed" without "blowing out" the sconce mesh lights) and mesh lights in the sconces were adjusted to my liking. I then modified almost all of the of the shaders for the interior elements (most had no bump maps, and were either too glossy, or too dull). Finally I ran the dforce simulation for the cloths (this required hiding some elements during simulation). After the simulation was complete, I added the pistol (which was where the image title came from), and made the final pose adjustments and scene element placements and rendered the final image.
