I have posted something similar some time ago.I have used multiply to add the second texture, because I want the tattoo to mix with the skin. If you want to overlay the texture, you have to use the blender node. Put in the skin texture in the first slot, the overly texture in the second and a mask (like a transparency map) in the third.
In most cases, it should be possible to create the mask by putting the overlay image through some combination of math nodes to get a high contrast grayscale.
Sorry, no screenshot, I am away from my own computer and will be till Friday.

Has anyone experimented with applying texture layers in the P5 material room? It seems as if it should be possible to combine transparency layers together. If possible, it would allow you to put skintight "clothing" (such as pantyhose, thighhighs, briefs, socks, etc.) onto any skin texture without needing to combine them in Photoshop or Paintshop (this assumes that the tranparency layers are designed to work with a particular skin texture) I have tried this using the "blending" math node, but have been defeated by the color of the node being included in the blend. So even though I have a psd layer with transparency, the "transparent" part gains the node color and shifts the color of the skin texture. Any thoughts?
