Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
lwanmtr, pretty nice mercedes, it is a serious challenger for the Audi TT :) On the other hand there is a TT for free, and your mercedes looks sweet, One question, sorry for the trouble do you have a wire render of your car? I would like to see the mesh. Thanks in advance. Virus
SAL9000 - Hello Dr. Chandra, Will I've dream?
Being a bit Bias you may not want to take what I think into consideration as AdR and I are sort of Cohort's in crime. With that said, AdR's car is more detailed in most areas and has many more options for use and is designed specifically for Poser it will certainly get you better results with less effort. As I can attest to with some certainty, it takes alot more than just importing a car mesh into poser to make it look and work properly. Poser fully Smooths everything and you have to do some work to the mesh to get it to have the sharp edges necessary. You also have to cut it into groups, set up bones, limits and everything else to get it to animate properly.
The poser props, and lightwave objects do have slightly different meshes. To be honest, the Poser files are more of an after thought....Though I plan an upgrade after I finish my current project. I looked at the AudiTT..It's very nice with very few errors visible. I would like to see the mesh on it, as well as more of the interior detail. As for bones and such..My SL500 is a prop group. I'm not sure how to set it up as a single figure as yet..though I would if I could figure that one out...prolly real simple, huh?
Thanks Guys :) I know how to make work pretty well a mesh into poser, and got a great result with the freeby one :), I just had to adjust some vertices and add some codes to the CR2 to make the steering wheel to turn the front wheels, anyways thank you, guess the conversion from Lightwave is a high end model, it just needed very few fixes to make it look great with poser. I will make some renders to show it to you. Duddly the Aston martin looks pretty cool, it looks pretty cool in that picture, from my point of view I like better the new one, but yours is a clasic. lwanmtr, sorry about the mail, this is not the first time I got complains about it, I will talk with the mail admin. your mercedes is a great piece of art, Guess I will buy it as soon as I get my Xmas bonus, there is just a little observation here, the mesh looks pretty clean and I like how the polys was aplied, I just noticed in this picture,(http://www.geocities.com/lwanmtr/demo/SL500W-2.jpg ) that the steering wheel looks out of place, please correct me if I'm wrong. Best Regards Virus

I had a few minutes, so I loaded the SL500 as a single object and took it into the setup room...It was pretty easy to set the bones for the top and trunk..though they seperated from the body...heh... You mention getting the steering to trun the wheels? I am intrigued.....I would like to set it up that way..as well as have only one dial to fold and retract the top parts. Virus: It is possible that the steering wheel is not in the right spot...I have the wheel/coulumn as a seperate peice so that it can be adjusted to the end user's desire. And, yeah..that Astin Martin looks really cool.
To get the windows working properly you will need to set up a FBM dial. In my Mustangs and T-bird I lower the windows with a FBM that translates them in two directions at differen't amounts (deltaAddDelta) to make them move at the proper rate. For the Steering wheel you will have a FBM dial that controls both front wheels and the steering wheel.

Hello, I was wondering if someone has bought DAZ' audi TT or how they called EU sport coupe 2001, and if you bought it, what are the differences between this model and the one which is free conversion from a very fine detailed lightwave model by odeathoflife? I'm interested in buy the DAZ model only if it has significant improves in the mesh :) The file can be found at the link I'm attaching. For your attention thank you.
