Subject: Blacklight Effect?

Can someone please help me create a blacklight set. I have searched everywhere and I cannot find any sort of tutorial on creating blacklights.

just what sort of black light effect are you talking about? the effect where skin looks purple and certain white things seem to glow? well that cant be done with simply a black colored light thats for sure.. you would need some type of glow effect, which poser doesnt have. so you would have to recreat it with texture and set the ambient lighting to max (white). but even this i dont think is going to recreate the desired effect..

If that's the effect you're after (disco/uv/radiation sickness glow-in-the-dark). you could adapt Anton's idea for the fire writing on the One Ring. (The tute was posted here and is up at DAZ now), by using the Ambient color on the skin set to lurid purple. mac

MAXseer: Yep, it sure can't be done with a black light. Trust me, in my throes of frustration I even tried that. However, that is the exact effect I am after (the link above). maclean: Do you have a link to the tutorial you mentioned? I tried going to the DAZ site, but I couldn't find any tutorials.

It's in the DAZ Arcana section, and it's by Anton Keisel, but I'm not sure what section it's under. There's one page of tutes, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Or you could try search in this forum for One Ring. I wouldn't search for Anton, There'll be too many. mac

Wouldn't just adding a real high ambient in weird colors to everything which needs to glow, and lighting the scene with a global set turned down low, work to recreate the mood of a black lighted room?

Ok, I found the tutorial on DAZ's site (thx maclean-I added it just in case anyone else is looking for it). I'll give it a shot and see it I can use it to do what I want. :) hauksdottir: I will give your idea a try as well. :)
