As I am sure you know there are many places to take classes online. I have taken classes at a least 7 places over the last 6 years and have been favorably impressed with the quality of them. Lately, I have been taking Bryce and Poser at LVSOnline. The instructors are excellent and the courses draw quite a crowd. What is sorely missing are any 3D modeling courses. I mean a beginning course in Rhino or Amapi would be wonderful. Maybe even a 2 part class. I do not know how well instructors are paid. The classes run 6 weeks. Students there do qualify for software student discounts. I hope maybe someone who loves to teach will see this and look into the school. Trust me, I am not the only one who is looking for such a class. Diane bknoh@adelphia.net

While I've heard some good things about LVSonline, for those who want to work at their leisure, and for free, and over and over again, here's a site to check out.

Yes, I found that site when I was taking one of my Bryce classes. It is very helpful, but other than Bryce and Poser, it doesn't have any other 3D application tutorials. Thank You, Diane

so you are asking if someone is interested in starting a school or class ? The dificult part of doing this is suiting the tutorials and classes to span multi apps this would be very time consuming but not impossible my guess is that the effort or work load would be to large and time consuming to take on for free just a guess though

No....I am asking someone to look into teaching a class at LVS....certainly not for free. I also meant for a single application. I suggested Rhino or Amapi, rather than one of the more expensive ones. The people who take these classes are mostly hobby 3D'ers, but there are some professionals, too. Diane

Hey EricofSD that's a cool site. You should post it somewhere on the Bryce forum if you haven't already. It helps by showing how things work that arent 100% clear in the manual. Definitely worth going to if you have a good internet connection. Not to mention what a service it does for the Bryce-newbs. Heh... Now what I'm looking for is a way to figure out all the tricks to getting the most out of Anim8or and Wings3D. Heh... Funny considering I made some Anim8or tutorials here myself, but theres still some aspects of those programs that would be a lot more useful with better understanding of how they work.

paulis, I've posted before on Bryce forum and occasional do when folks ask about training. Its a good one to bookmark. I have to agree, there's more room for tuts and training on 3d apps. One of the reasons I selected Bryce as my first 3d app was the wealth of information available for free on the internet. It was almost a cult like following. Wish we had that with other apps. I've pretty much settled on the dvgarage toolkit for a modeler. Its a high end modeler for a cheap price. Best bang for the buck. Learning curve is not all that bad either. Maybe I'll get around to putting up some introductory tuts.
