Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 26 9:02 am)
Volumetrics in Poser 5 was added as part of the Service Packs. It was not included in the original product as shipped, and therefore it's not included in the manual (at least for the time being). To get volumetric effects, you add an atmosphere in the material room by selecting "Atmosphere" in the Object menu in the Node window. You can then adjust the atmosphere strength for each light in the light properties.

- When calculating cloth dynamics, what is the meaning of the number that appears in the screen (not the frame number - the other one, with the decimal places. Its the time (in seconds) it took to calculate the cloth dynamics for the frame number shown. Shorter better, longer worse :) Soluble Hamster The one, the only, dissolvable rodent.

Sorry if these are really stupid, but I can't see either addressed in the manual (which may mean it's under my nose and I'm missing it) 1. When calculating cloth dynamics, what is the meaning of the number that appears in the screen (not the frame number - the other one, with the decimal places. 2. I've come across references to volumetric lighting in P5 - but can't find any reference in the book, or anything immediatly obvious in the program itself (but note the above warning about my nose). Any help with these, especially the second, would be much appreciated.
