I've just put 3 textures for this gorgeous dress from Poserworld in Freestuff. Hope you like them!

:)

They're very nice. Can you - or anyone else - tell me the name of the V3 mini dress (60's stylee) that was in Poserworld Freestuff recently? I downloaded them, but can't remember what they were called, and now can't find the damn things.

Found the zip! I hadn't installed it, was the problem, and I wanted to. You know how it is. :)

yeah :) I just had a vision of you wanting to know where it was installed to just as I hit the post button on my first reply. I need more coffee :)

I really like those textures? My favourite is the one in the center : it looks more natural. I'm not too positive about it, but I don't think that impressions (or whatever drawings on fabric are called in english) were available, even for noble ladies, in the middle-ages. They could have perls sewn, gold threads inbedded in the fabric, but I think impressions were invented later. Anyway, thanks for your great work. Compiler (feeling nit picking tonight)

I just joined PoserWorld, but don't plan on buying Vicky3 anytime soon. Can V3 clothing be used on V2? I don't mind tweaking if need be. Sorry if this is a very dumb question, but I have no idea..

Irish, thanks!! Lovely texs. xoc - Well, up to a point. V3 has different Joint Parameters than V2, so when you pose your Vicki, the V3 clothes will sort of more or less followm but need a fair amount of tweak/postwork. However the body is sort of similar, but not quite as square as V2's, so if you do default V2 the hips will stick out, etc. One can certainly say that V3 is based on V2, so there is a family resemblance, undeniably. And don't forget to pick up all the HUGE numbers of V2 clothes at PW now that you're a memeber - they'll keep you busy forever, I tell you.... :o) :] Fish

Nice textures...yes the dress is nice, but the stretching problem is driving me crazy on it. I spent probably three hours last night trying to texture it and every texture I used when posed on V3 just stretched so much as to be totally unrecognizable... I'm hoping the next one that comes out like this is much more kind to textures then this one is. Pendy

Thank you, Fishnose! I'll give it a shot. You're right, I've already downloaded more stuff at PW than I have time for! :-)

compilor You are correct - dresses like these would not be made of printed fabrics. These are of an upper class style and would be embroidered, or made of woven patterns (damask). A peasent would have painted or printed fabric, and those only on special days. The middel texture is the most accurate, but might also have a wide band of embroidery around the hem and wrists.
