Hey all! This is my first "contest entry" and I'm not doing it to win. I'm doing this for the experience of being GIVEN a topic. This image does not measure up to any of the others but it's what I came up with. The Poser figure doesn't have hair...that's because I can't figure out HOW to give her hair. I gave her hair before importing the object into Bryce but it somehow disappeared. I also think that the rest of the scence is a little empty, I can't tell what else to add. I think this picture might be more appropriately named, "A Fresh Start" but New Beginnings is good enough for me.

Maybe some hills or mountains in the background and some smaller plants in the foreground. Nice new start.

Also you could lower the trees so that they're not sticking out. If you want you could also try experimenting with more realistic rock textures for the rocks in the foreground.

Just some friendly suggestions, welcome aboard.

Good start, I agree with ttops on all his suggestions. I would add you might want to play with the clouds, sky a bit...the default Bryce sky works well in a lot of pics (I've overused it, myself :^) ), but somehow this pic seems to need a little extra color or something...perhaps someone else who understands what I mean can give more specific ideas for that. Don't worry about Posette (I think that's her) being bald. The way you've posed her, it doesn't show. One last thing, she seems to be levitating. You might want to try to set her down on the mountain's surface, unless you want her to hover, that's OK, too. :^)

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Might want to vary the size of the trees so they aren't so uniform. Other than what's already been suggested I can't think of anything. Good start just needs a bit of tweaking.

I noticed the same thing with the trees and I've checked...the Posette should be ON the mountain. I'm going to learn how to make custom skies soon but for now, I'll check around the presets.

I thought she was at the high point of a jump for joy.... You might consider a beach between the grass and the water. Lin

In Poser, select the hair and then find the drop down that has the line 'parent to...' Select 'HEAD'. Export your figure as a Wavefront OBJ and check that the hair is listed in the list of objects. Your figure's hair should export right along with the head! Lower the trees on your pic so that the roots don't show so much. Add a TERRAIN for the background and experiment with the sky setings or select an alternative sky. Changing the light direction will give your figure a shadow to make it more obvious that she is jumping in the air. Apart from all that, experiment, experiment, experiment...and welcome to the forum!! Regards The Bryster

You could just maybe move her to the left and back slightly. Looks like her left foot is on the ground and her right foot is kind of off the rock. Definitely a different rock texture and maybe some mountains of the same rock texture on the horizon line? Overall, a great beginning!:)
