Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
Hmmm...interesting. Sadly however I've been concentrating on fixing "technical flaws" more than making the design "look good" (I plan to use a 3DS model as a base to start a new Rex...one day!). Significant head remodelling is therefore probably a bit more than I can do. I can't ever get Renderosity to accept a graphic larger than about 3-5K, so I won't post a render right now - but teh T Rex here has fixes to reversed faces (only really shows in Poser 5 and external renderers) and the mouth shape "tweaked" so that they fit together much better when closed. Some minor adjustments to top of muzzle to reduce (tho not eliminate) texture stretch. Oh yeah - he's scaled more appropriately too. Judging by the response to this thread (there r only 3 of us Rex owners?) I can perhaps see why some models don't get updated much!

Hi all. thanks to a Dr Geep tutorial, I've now managed to fix some aspects of the model which I thought were unfixable without more software. However - I've never made .OBJ and .CR2 files - carefully avoiding giving away the model! - available before so it's going to be a small learning experience to post my "fixes" up in Free Stuff. Is there actually any call for these fixes/changes? New head shape (fix teeth to jaws, reduce head texture stretch, shape I perfer). Alternative mouth open/close morphs. Teeth with reversed normals corrected (thx DrGeep!). Foot "squish" morphs for foot impact animations. Reversed normals in tail/bottom corrected (if I didn't cause it when fixing the teeth!) Potentially more around the thigh area if I get the time to play there - it'd be nice to improve the animate-a-bility if I could. It won't be immediate but, well, if there's a call then it might be worth polishing the fixes and making them available...? Cheers, Cliff Bowman
