THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Can anyone help find me a model?

marinke ( ) posted Thu, 09 January 2003 at 10:56 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 12:38 PM

Hellow,

I need a model for Bryce from a 2CV (deux chevaux).
It's an old Citro-car, a real old-timer might you call it.

Does anyone know where I can find this?

If all else fails, just pics (computergraphics only) are okay too.

Thanx!!!!!!!!!

Greetz, Marinke

We usually get our 2cvs out of skips in the UK......You might try the Citroen website if there is such a thing...

http://www.3dworldclub.com/preview.aspx?ModelCode=588 http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview.aspx?ModelCode=588 Which is basically the same, I think, because the layout of the pages is the same and so on. The membership on the site is $49. They have megaoodles of various models. And they have a pic. :-) TurboSquid has a low poly model, but they want $54.50 for it. I mean, for a 500-polygon model? Is someone crazy here?

There is one on the CDs of the 500 Espona models book of Taschen (39 dollars, for book and 2CD's, at Amazon). I think it is this model.

Sorry it is not free, but the book with 2CD's with 500 models for 39 dollars is a good deal.

I have browsed all my "free" sites and didn't come up with one. If you decide to use another car, some nice ones here

Hey, een Nelandur. 8P I'll go look for a 'lelijk eendje'. I can't guarantee anything but I'll have a look. My next lesson starts in 1.5 hours, so there's plenty of time.

Does this link to a 2CV model? http://www.cadthai.com/download.html look for the link called "öյ 2CV [243 kb]" under "3D MODEL (3D Studio)" I can't test the link because downloading isn't possible with the security settings on the new network here at school. I don't have my registry-crack disk with me either.

Okay, I used a little trick and could download the model. The link works. I still can't open it though.

Veel succes Marinke. Ik ben ook Nederlands! Mijn beste vriendin had zo'n lelijke eend, met klapperende raampjes. :-))

Meer nederlanders hier op het forum dan ik dacht... Mijn moeder heeft ook nog een lelijke eend gehad. Zeg Creations. Kan jij even testen of mijn link inderdaad een bruikbare 2CV oplevert? Ik heb hier geen 3D software op deze computer.

Marinke: I've just looked through my entire collection of 3D Objects and I'm sorry to say that no one seems to have done a Citroen let alone 2cv...........now if you want a Delorean...........

Well, Creations, I succeeded in opening it. Don't ask, black magic. Actually, I have a friend with 3D Studio. :-) Yes it is a 2CV, but we had to convert it into dxf in order to import it into Bryce. As 3ds it came in parts. It had some NURBS bits in, and that's probably what caused the problem. Even like dxf, it has problems, like the tyres being too big for the rims. And it has only a half of a soft-top. And it's not textured, of course. What I'd like to know is what is a model by a Russian (Andrei Kosov, and with a Cyrillic inscription) doing on a Thai (AFAICS) site. Anyway, anybody has any idea what I may do with the model? May I send it to marinke by mail, since it's free there anyway? It's 292 kB zipped, BTW.
