Subject: Anyone know where I can get facial hair for Poser 4?

You have two choices: you can either use a prop like the ones available at Ghastley's site (http://209.92.41.204/Poser) or you can paint it on the texture map directly and then morph the jawline to give the illusion of the raised surface. I recommend the latter, only because it looks more realistic. If it's for Mike, the Fantasy Beard from Daz is wonderful, but a real resource hog.

Do a search on Traveler over at runtimedna in free stuff for his body hair brushes if you decide to paint them onto a preexisting texture...

It can be done on any figure, prop or group in the hair room in P5. But, it eats your resoures !! But for a beard about 250 hairs would do it. Tony

I grew this on the P4 Male with Poser 5. It looks a bit better than my first attempt.

P5 Beard Test #2 (MPEG format, 345KB)

I'd have to agree, though, that in most cases a transmapped beard prop or a morph/texture combo will suffice.

The DAZ Beard is really nice - extremely varied.

It also depends on what character you want to use it on. DAZ has the Millennium Beard for Michael that looks great. There's also an earlier beard pack which I think was for Michael but I'm not sure about that, but it isn't as realistic as the Millennium one. Melanie
