Expiry date was orig 12/30 incl. textures. On 12/31 all discounts disappeared to return later same day as 2/28 - Feb 28! - (noted in this forum as a long time out and confirmed by PhoenixRising) for Base, Hd MT & Bd MT. But ... Upgrade Base was only till 1/14. On night of 1/13 (the big announce day for CL) Upgrade Base changed from 1/14 to "... Limited time" - I assumed because of the community reaction to CL actions. But on 1/15 Upgrade Base was no longer discounted, which, OK, was the original plan. But the Base, Hd MT & Bd MT weren't discounted either - a full 6 weeks before the announced 2/28 cut off. I think this might be cause of your confusion/surprise.

Yep, DAZ has good models, but their dishonesty about sales deadlines is annoying.

Any deadline they set has a 50/50 chance of actually being a deadline, or not being deadline (as in deadline extended). Extended deadlines are great for people who happened to miss the first deadline, but suck for people who scrambled to make the deadline, yet would have perferred to wait (for various reasons) if they knew they could have. This happened to me during the platinum club sale, and of course, they didn't respond to my email to them regarding it. Big surprise.

This deadline ending early is a new one to me though, but also not a surprise.

I think of extended deadlines on Sales as a gift from them to us!! They don't have to do it at all, you know? ;) I'd never seen them cut something short...

I'm not ready to vilify DAZ just yet. Been far too pleased with them to do so. ;) I find it odd that they would cut the sale short based on Renderosity forum reaction to CL. That doesn't make sense to me, but I certainly don't claim to be privvy to their business decisions. Being on dialup, I'd waited because of the size of the downloads -- pretty much have to plan downloads of that size around days that I'm not working online (which is... like... rarely). Guess I'll drop them a note and see what's what. Thanks for the replies. Erik "Kep"
