Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
Memory allocation is: a) Something that Macintoshes do, even though it still shows up on the Windows version of Poser; and b) A complete red herring which should say "Something has gone wrong, it could be one of many things, but you can be sure that it's nothing to do with memory" However the dialogue box wouldn't have been big enough, so they didn't do that. :-) Usually what fixes it is to shut down Poser, find the .OBJ mesh that the model uses (in RuntimeGeometries) and delete the .RSR file that has the same name. It sounds harsh, but Poser will rebuild it next time you load that model.

I'm sure I'm identifying myself as a clueless newbie here BUT... I have some poser models that opened just fine the first time I installed them but afterwards I am informed that Poser can't open them and that I need to increase the memory allocated to Poser. 1) What's going on? It had enough memory to open them the first time. 2) How do I increase memory allocation to Poser?
