I can put it up on mine and you can send / post the url for it if you want Simderella. It not a poser site though just a personal one.

I don't know what I did wrong but it's still not working for me. I'm getting the same thing EricofSD did, and I tried both ways...using the UV with -mat and the other without. Still no dice. I can't understand what's going wrong.

Thank you so much, Simderella!

You are a Saint! It worked for me and I am most grateful to you.

Here is Vic3 wearing Angelmoon's Luna2 Moonlight Goddess texture:

Thank you so very, very much!

thundr ( ) posted Mon, 27 January 2003 at 10:58 AM

well, I can get things to sort of work if I go in to the materials menu and fix all of the materials by hand otherwise I nada. It's a real pain to have to go and remap any model that i want to use... Hey Marque If you get your's fixed post here and let me know how you fixed it. Maybe Simderella will see this and help us out.

So are these only usable in 3D Max? Thanks, Marque

Attached Link: V2-V3 Texture Convertor

Hi guys, I have just developed an application that converts the actual textures from V2->V3 format, and from V3->V2 format. As this is exactly what would solve several issues raised in this thread, I thought I'd mention it :-) cheers, Steve

umm i might be totaly off trak here but the head issue above looks like the v2 head texture hasnt been applied to the new V3 Scalp body part? you checked this in the materials editor?

Kurgen ( ) posted Wed, 29 January 2003 at 10:09 PM

Hi,I am attempting to do your tutorial on using V3 to use V2 maps.I am not sure about a couple of things in wordpad or notepad. You say go to EDIT-REPLACE ok so far and the placement of the obj's is fine in the Find What and Replace, but is the next line I am having trouble with where you say ,when that is down hit save(not save as.This is my question.Do you hit replace or replace all and then close the text editor and then save or if not what do you do? Also do you use the UV FILE UVS MAT or the one without Mat.I would appreciate any help as I have never used a text editor before. Cheers arrow1

thank you for this lovely tut. However, it should be mentioned that UVMapper is not free ... it's $49.95 (I think).. There is a DEMO, but it is save-disabled :-(

UV mapper is indeed free. UV Mapper Pro is not. UV Mapper (free version) is now known as UV MApper Classic.

UVMapper (Now called Classic) is free and saves. UVMapper Professional is $49.95 and has additional features, but those features are not needed for this tutorial. This tutorial works fine with UVMapper Classic. I've included a link to UVMapper web site. UVMapper Classic is down the page under the UVMapper professional information.
