Subject: V3: Hand and Vertebrae Question

heyas; victoria 3 looks really good. :) but i'm holding out for m3. i do have one question though; does anybody care to show me meshlines for her hands and spine? i keep hoping they will give mike some real hands (okay, maybe not with every vein modelled, like the hand figures that came with p3). and i keep wishing SOMEbody would do something with the lumbar vetebrae to make them stick out when figures bend over, as tends to happen, you know. so i'm just curious if daz addressed those areas on v3. thanks :)

I bent her over and looked just now. No vertebrae anywhere. The muscles on either side remain just as they are when standing, so that the spine is a "valley" in all positions. No tendons on the hands either. But I will say this for DAZ: the inner construction of the head is excellent. I've been building an image for my anatomy work, and found that V3's mouth, tongue, and inner nasal surfaces are very accurately designed. When I mount a DAZ skull inside the head, and then fit in my own larynx and trachea model, all the shapes come out right.

This is the hand. There is mesh for tendon morphs but we have not made any. Same with the vertebrea. I think I can count maybe 12 images I have ever seen showing Vicki's back bend over. :) (lude and dirty things they were). Did we know about it. Yes. Did we think about it. Yes. Did we do the morphs. No. Not yet anyway. As it is I think we got burned on all the fat morphs everyone says they have to have but still never use. :) But the potential is there for the user and for the future. Anton

There are finger extension morphs that look quite nice. Vicki 3's hands are a massive improvement over v2s. Frankly wished for more back morphs, but postwork is always an option.

Anton - some of us appreciate - and use! - the heavy morphs, and here's the proof! I love Vicky 3's versatility as far as size and shape goes - it's not just slim that's beautiful! Jo

Jo, That is awesome. Cool. Glad to see people are taking advantage of the body morphs. :)

heyas; thanks guys. the hand looks good... i kinda expected more polys on the hand and less in the fingers, but it looks nice. however, i'm not to optimistic about the vertebrae. there's just not much there to morph. a ridge could stick out, but if you wanted the nubby lumbar bumps... ah well. i see some work was done on that sacrum area, and that looks very nice. just wish the spine had similar treatment.

Hi Diane, Just to be clear. There are the hand tendon morphs as Kiera mentioned above, just not vein morphs. If you buy her the injectors for them are in the muscularity folder. But there are no vertebrae morphs. But that is a good idea. I know Chris has noted it. hope that helps.
