Subject: Hands are becoming deformed

Here's my issue...I'm trying to make a character holding one long stick with both hands (see other topic below) I figured that i can make them all move together if i make a chain, and use the IK controls... but whenever I go to make a chain, i connect the stick to parent right hand, and it works fine then i connect left hand to the stick, and the left hand/arm becomes completely deformed...i'm not quite sur what it's doing, but it's definitely making the arm "fubar" how do i avoid this?

If the stick is scaled and rotated prior to parenting, it will do something similar to the hand when you parent it.

Turn on IK for the arms, then parent each hand to the stick, and then move the stick. The hands should then follow.
