PBooost 1.4 is slowly taking shape. The delay is down to day-job pressures... pressures which are about to dissolve. Wahay! 1.4 will a free update for those who have 1.3. It's compatible with Poser 3, 4, 5 and Propack. Here's a nice view showing sub-folder access in Poser 5, the png thumbnail viewer and the new Browse pane which replaces the old import/export functions. Also note the "runtimes" button which enables you to control multiple Poser installations and P5's Roaming Runtimes.

The new DeepFileEditor is rather extended. I have Don loaded here (yes, from a compressed crz)... as in 1.3, you can edit many materials simultaneously and have immediate control of every parameter imaginable.

The same ethos applies to the actors and dials sections... you can edit, add and remove lines from the cr2 without searching through huge text files...

Here's an expanded shot of the Actor/Prod Details list... double ckicking on the green/gray dots adds and removes the parameter, and the values are all editable...

Here's an axpanded view of the Dial Values list. Did you ever believe there was such a lot of stuff could go in a poser file?!?

If I've missed anything... please let me know!
I've not shown it you all... by far!
Got to drag the old carcass off to bed, you know!

Howard:)

Oh... just in case you're wondering what happens when you click on the little buttons like "Edit sphere mats" etc, here's a view of the popup you see when you click on "Edit erc/emc"... A bit of a silly example, but you can see how easy it is to set up here!

I forgot to include the link to PBooost!
Here it is.

will this version keep it from locking up? I assume it's from when you have an incorrect exact path to a texture, that it will not let you switch banks on the fly.. will that be fixed?

procchi ( ) posted Mon, 17 February 2003 at 11:08 PM

Will THIS version work with XP?

hogwarden ( ) posted Tue, 18 February 2003 at 5:01 AM

Er... It already works with XP, procci. Has done since 1.3! With NTFS drives and clean texture references all works. MysticW... Unfortunately, CL wouldn't let me patch Poser to fix the bug... Poser has the bug, not PBooost:) CorrectReference sorts out the dodgy paths so Poser doesn't do it's lock bug thing. The majority of PBooost's users run XP-NTFS as an OS (using Poser 4) and have no problems with the system at all! H:)

Only problem I have with PBooost is that I can't figure out how to use it LOL Unfortunately I have a feeling that I can't blame PBOOOST for that..... I use it for tidying up my folders though, and I'm happy to have it. It's a great proggie. Now if only I could figure out this switch banks thing...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
