I had tried to create a Dress for Vicky 3. Now its in Poser and its conforming. So far so fine, but I have really problems with the joint parameters.

Maybe somebody will share/ join my work and can help me. I will send the .3ds, .obj or what ever to you.
Even for useful tips I will be happy. For the Dress see attached JPG.

The Problem is if I move the legs, the Dress will not follow.

Greetings

Grim

grim, can you post a picture of how you sections the dress? Did you include buttock and/or thigh sections? A wireframe render might help as well. Oh, one quick one that gets me occationally... AZre you sure you have the rButtock/lButtock and rThigh/lThigh sections on the correct side of the dress? mike

Sorry that I can't be of much help but I would like to say I think it's great your working on clothes for V3. There seem to be so few of them. I hope you get it figured out! Your photo looks good so far... Best of luck, Nebula

Hello Mike,

Thanks. The r/lButtock is a good hint, sometimes I get confused but in this case the part is ok

The problem is: with r/lButtock the Dress looks like form behind like this (see Photo). Other people like Jim Burton Glamorous Vicki Set for Victoria 3.0 dont use r/lButtock in the groups they only use Hip (how to say in English) for the down part of the Dress. If I do it the same the Dress will not conform (in the down part). See Photo

Thanks to all

Grim

Grim, Try changing the r/lButtock to r/lThigh groups. Many poses move the thigh parts but nit the buttocks. Of course having the thighs with out the buttocks might cause some other problems but give it a try and see if the dress moves, then we can move on from there. mike

Ok... (one question thou, why there were only props(.pz2) and not a conforming dres(.cr2) on the mail...?) Aparently the mesh was originaly exported from a .3ds and then imported into poser(am I wrong?), the polycount is a little extrem but that's ok if you have enough machine power(specialy since they are triangles and not quadrangles)... (btw, what is you native languaje, is it English, o es el Espal al igual que yo?) Ascii

Talk in the Forum? why not 1. I had problems to send the email it was to large, sorry. 2. Yes it comes form 3ds, the polycount is so high because the shape is fine with simcloth. 3. I have no problems with my machine power, do you have? (AMD Athlon 700, 650 MB RAM) 4. To use quadrangles not triangles its new for me, why it is better? 5. My native lang. is German. And you ? Okidoki, check your mail(1.4 MB)... (btw, quadranglws means 4 point polis, like a square, your mesh are made of triangles and the extra lines makes it larger, plus there's no need to make a two sided piece of cloth(that would cut the size at half), just make the edges a litle rounded to simulate thickness and cover the "I can look inside you dress from above" areas)... Regards... Ascii
