to gain access to renderosity a user under the age must have permission from parent. I don't see why pictures of soldiers standing around upsets you. History channel on TV has lots of this running 24/7. As far as pictures of SS soldiers goes, one of the more popular games last year was Return to Wolfenstien, lots of killing and blood and SS all of there place. Art is generally to depict a thought or emotion, I personally think these two peices that you have mentioned are rather well done. I hate faries (little creatures with wings), doesn't mean there shouldn't be any in the galleries. I'm sorry that you find them offensive.
Actually, I meant it as a joke. Also as a kind of needle for all those posts who complain about the Naked Vicky in the temple. The joke is both on me and to a certain extent, my state, and my friends. I live in Georgia, and I don't know if you aware, we have been making the news about our state flag, or rather our old state flag with Confederate battle emblem. The joke on is because I am always half joking bout not going north of the Mason-Dixion line and being a super southern. Which in itself is another joke... The joke on my friends is that a lot of them are from the north and kid me about being an old fashion Southerner. Meaning that I say Sir and Maam. Open doors for Ladies etc. I am sorry that anyone took me seriously. I didn't think that anyone would. I had thought that my comments were so outrageous that everyone would see the humor or my attempt at humor in them. I have always been told that I have a warped sense of humor.
Actually I thought you were being sarcastic...and then thought I must have turned into a cynic. I open doors for guys who have their hands full of packages and come from Southern California, but I don't think that counts as being a Southerner though I have been known to indulge in an Old Fashion in my younger years. It's late...take care. I'm glad someone still has a sense of humor, warped or no.
NO, not the Firebug! True story, Sherman's army did come through Georgia where my ever how many greats mother it was family was living and burn the farm. She died of exposure, before the other memembers of the family could could get her to shelter. Family history saids that the troops were singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic while burning and stealing everything on the farm. To this day, nobody on my Mother's side of the family will sing that song, nor will we stand when it play or sung. The story was told to me by my Great-Grand Mother when I was about 6. I made the mistake of singing that song in front of her and I have NEVER sang it since. I do not want her to come back and Haunt me. She was scary enough in live...
The most inappropriate thing I saw was your cynical remark posted to one of the images, "Butch." Actually, they were pretty well done images, perhaps of historical interest to some. Would you bury the parts of history you don't like, hide them away from public scrutiny? If you're that easily disturbed by historical tableux, maybe you shouldn't view the Poser galleries at all. We can all agree that the racism of the Confederacy and the institution of slavery were evils of American history, but it's not as if these images depicted bloody battles, lynchings, or even expresed appreciation of racist values. In your own gallery, you mention falling in love with Playboy bunnies at the age of 15, yet you express indignation on behalf of "poor innocent children" who might view perfectly innocent images of fully clothed soldiers? Pardon me for being "inappropriate," but...LOL! Long live freedom of expression.
Crap. Just a reply. Basically in a nutshell guys, here it is IT WAS A JOKE! An attempt at humor poking fun at several things and was never NEVER suppose to be taken seriously. For those of you who did, I am sorry. My comments were way overboard on purpose and I did it that way, I thought so there everyone would know that I was and am Joking. Xoconostle, I have a degree in History, and the only sin to me is hiding history or sweeping under the rug parts of histroy that some people find embassering or ugly. If we don't learn from histroy then we are doomed to repeat it as the saying goes. I firmly believe that. Let me say it one more time "It's a Joke"
OK, but you should understand that there was nothing in the "tone" of the first post which made it clear that you were joking. As you know, people get all hot and bothered about the silliest things here, so I thought this was another case of that sort of thing. (Are you the artist who posted those renders under a different 'nym? If not, was this really fair to that person?) I'm hardly a humorless guy, and irony usually isn't lost on me. I can be pretty darn cynical myself. Having read your confession, it seems that in fact we agree. (Oops.) But again, there was nothing (at first) to clue us in on your joke, so in the end it looks like you set us up for the sort of defensive reactions that ensued, which is, in a word, trolling. I took too much time to send my response, so we "cross-posted." I didn't see your explanation until I'd sent my l'il rebuke. Oh well, time to move on. Next time I'll know better when I see a Butch screed. :-) BTW I think Playboy bunnies are cute, too. I think I'll go read some Faulkner, now...
My prediction: This thread is going to end up with a ton of posts, and you will have a lot of angry comments directed at you, Butch. Why? One of my pet peeves: There will be plenty of people who read your initial post, then scroll all the way down and jump with flames into the conversation without bothering to read any of the intervening discussion. We'll see..but when we hit 40 or 50 posts, maybe I'll reply again and just say see post 23 lol
Yeah, thought it was too strange to be serious, even for here. Yeah, thread may end up with a lot of posts, but if people won't read....... oh well, not much you can do.

Ratteler; The I-285 loop around what was once a fine Southern place is there to keep all the carpetbaggers contained. He probably -didn't- cross the line all that much (not to mention the fact that you have to be half kamikaze pilot to even contemplate it at anything other than 4:00am. Just something about Southern roads, Southern folks and cars, and out of region'ers that's....dangerous to mix). And Dave, no doubt a stint in Purgatory would be having to get routed through Hartsfield.... :P

I just saw two images in the gallery and were shocked that the mods hadn't deleted them or something Neither of the two images had any kind of warnings about their content or anything. What is some poor innocent child found them? I am really dismayed that the Mods have not done something about these two obscene images. One is "The Boys at Twilight" and the other is "Union Officer and Soldier" I mean really next thing you know, we have images of Nazi SS soldiers or something...
