Hi, Creating hi poly count objects is relatively easy, and I fully agree with Phil's comments. I use Anim8or, it's free. Making lo poly items.. that still look reasonable is a little more taxing! Good luck and enjoy making things. Gerald.Here's one very limited suggestion. Bryce allows you export it's terrains as objs. So if you already have that or were looking to get it, that would help. However, it's other modeling and export capabilities are extremely limited. And before the Bryce fans out there decide to flame me to death, I mean limited in comparison to a dedicated modeler. You could do what I did and keep attaching copies of the ground prop to each other until you get a stupidly high poly surface. It's easy enough to do, will take you about 20 minutes and it's free!

I assume samT just positions them side by side, exports several at once as a single obj, re-imports it, and, if necessary, repeats this process until he/she has enough, then shrinks the whole damn thing down to a managable size. LOL. I'm sure it works, but I can think of other ways to spend an evening... mac
mac, that's exactly what I did. Took me all of 20 minutes to do. I can think of better ways of spending an evening, too. :)

Dr Geep has a tutorial on this very subject (attaching ground planes to each other to make a bigger surface with more polygons). The prog looks great, but not exactly intuitive. Computer Arts magazine, which seems to be well distributed to urban areas of the U.S., also includes lots of demos and sometimes full versions of graphics software. About a year ago it included full Poser 3. Worth picking up for the tutorials alone.

Hi I am using poser 4 pro and I am trying to create some wave and ripple surfaces. I am still figuring out the wave deformers but what is becoming clear is that to get a good looking surface I need some some higher poly count surfaces.
(currently using the standard square props)
So how do i make this or is it downloadable somewhere
