Well I wanted to do a better UV map for Zygote's Piece O Pie freebie (and I did, but can't figure out how to legally send the NEW obj) but ran into legal problems. Anyway I did a tex map for Zygote's anyway and added, a scoop of ice cream. Granted the ice cream is NOT by all means a great obj, but from a distance, it will do. Also with clever bumps and such, it should be fine. Enjoy James

You just remapped the OBJ, right? That is what Objaction Mover is for. It encodes the new OBJ file using the old OBJ file. Only people who possess the old would be able to open the new. Zygote has, I believe, agreed to the use of pcf files created in this way to distribute modified versions of their meshes. Objaction Mover is for the PC. On the Mac, I believe the excellent MacConverter can create encoded pcf files.

Geekholder, This is Zygote's UV mapping, so nothing else is needed. Just don't turn the pie around. The back does a texture smear. (That's why I did a new mapping) The scoop of Ice Cream is a separrate obj. And anyway the other one I did, the geometry is changed so no matter what I do I'd have to send a NEW obj file. SO I just gave up on it. This one can be used by anyone who got the freebie. James

Neat! Nice texturing on the pie!

Oh, oh well. I like the ice cream texture. Looks like vanilla blueberry swirl. Now I'm hungry.

hey james! okay, here's an idea. what if you send us (maybe not post it, maybe just send it to interested parties) the colour pie map and maybe the template you made. just the image files. then we (whoever wants to do some work for this thing), can use the templates to re-map our pieces of pie and make your texture map fit. actually... i was thinking if you could somehow make the pie 'fit' on your template, and add in the fork and whatever else was stuck on it originally, then you could distribute the new uv map for importing onto the object people have. you know what i mean?
