Yes, me also...Sharen

Sorry about that. We're looking into it. It works fine for me, so it may be a privilege problem. We'll get it working as soon as we can. --Lynn

I hope it has a good "readme" for dummies like me! Command line stuff scares me,lol!

I tried to make the readme as easy as possible. Once we get the download problem straightened out, please let me know how you like the readme. Thanks.

Guitta and Sharen...Our tech guy is looking into this. He asks what system (Win or Mac) and what browser you were using when you got the error, and also whether you were logged in to the site. Thanks...Lynn

SAMS3D ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 10:38 AM

Using here, Windows ME, Internet Explorer, but I can use my other computer which is Windows XP if needed. Sharen

Win 98 and IE 6.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 10:43 AM

Yes, IE 6...forgot to tell you...Sharen

dadamson ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 12:30 PM

We are not sure why it works for soe and not others yet. Seems the tech may have added some extra security code... Methinks he may have made us a bit too secure.

my Mac and i had the same error message this morning - just to let you know.

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

dadamson ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 2:07 PM

If someone could check it again, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Deb BTW, I increased the font size for text at the site... hopefully you won't need your reading glasses anymore.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 2:28 PM

Okay, I just clicked your link again and this is what it says: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/www/home/dadamson/www/modules/Downloads/dl-categories.php on line 201 does this help? Sharen

gebe ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 2:30 PM

In reality I even don't need such a thingie. Because I don't want to change ALL the highlights to white. Depends on what I want to get:-). I just want to help you, dadamson, to get it up. I get the same error as Sharen. Guitta

dadamson ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 2:52 PM

Thanks Sharen.. I will let Dav know. Thanks Guitta. You can also select which ones to change, you don't have to change them all. We also use it for Poser when we want to make thumbnails for poses. Makes it a lot easier to grey out the figures in poses for couples to show which figure each pose effects. Lynn is open to suggestions for tailoring it for other uses. It is a WIP. At some point it will be upgraded to a windows program rather than command line.

lgrant ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 4:22 PM

Guitta...please bear with us. This is our first free item, and we are still shaking the bugs out of the store software that handles free items. Once we get the download software working, we intend to start having many more free items, some of which may appeal to you. Fixing the problem with the download software is difficult, because so far, none of us who maintain the store have been able to make the problem happen. (But our tech guy is putting in some debug code that will help next time it happens.) Thanks for your patience. lynn

Daemonsbane ( ) posted Mon, 24 February 2003 at 8:07 PM

If I navigate to the download via the "Castle Dev Downloads" menu, I can access the download (thanks!) ... if I use the link posted above I get the error (Win XP, IE6).

(Hmmm, second post, wonder where the first got off to?)

Thank you, Daemonsbane!!!!!! That was the missing key piece of information. The real problem is that the URL got truncated when we posted it. It is slightly longer than the "post a reply" page can tolerate. The real URL ends with "cid=5" rather than just "cid". Or you can click on the URL on this post, then select "Vue D'Esprit". I apologize for the confusion. Lynn Grant CastleDev Technical Support

Thanks Daemonsbane!! I will be careful when I post URLs here to make sure it doesn't truncate them in the future. Thanks everyone for helping to solve the mystery!
