antovasa: I'm not sure. Did you set up the mirror material's Reflect node as shown in my illustration? Do you have raytracing enabled in your render options? Are you viewing the mirror at the proper angle to see your character's reflection? hodad66: I agree with GraphicFoxx about the polygon-smoothing. You can disable it for individual props, if you want to leave that feature on. As for the hair, every object or element in a scene has a Properties panel option called "Visible in raytracing". If this option is unchecked, the object won't appear in a raytraced reflection. I understand that some of the dynamic hair props included in P5 have this option disabled, so you'll have to switch it on.

OK, in P5, in the material room, it shows a preview swatch below all the settings. This is showing a convex shape just like the ones in the library. Is that the distortion I'm getting & if so, how can I get rid of it? Also, once I get this ironed out, how can I save this object as a mirror for future use or the specular settings to plug in?
Can you post a screenshot of your material room? Also your render settings. Again, make sure 'smooth polygons' is not checked. To save it for future use, open up your props library, and either in there or a subfolder, click on the little plus sign at the bottom of the library. It says add to library...name it, and it's saved. Same method for saving the material room settings, only you save it in the material library. That way you can also apply it to other objects.
