hi friends, here is a new funny trouble thing. as you know, i have this little guy. now i made some quicktime movies for his face, beeing mapped on it. works well as long, as the head does not move, when it moves the "face-movie" does not move within. here are some screenshots for showing you the problem. how could i change my asssets for having my little guy moving his face with his head? thanks for any help. dearest benjamino

Looks like your face map is set to PROJECTION MAPPING/FLAT MAPPING. It's projecting the face on to the head object much like a projector would project a movie onto a screen. If you moved the screen, the movie would not move with it. Instead, set it to PARAMETRIC MAPPING. This will solve the problem. You may need to use a RECT LAYER to get to get the face to the proper position but once you do it will move along with the head object.

hello, yes, i tried this, and it worket. BUT: when i put a rectangle over the head - Sphere, it makes a very complicated form, so i can not project a rectangle map (movie) on the sphere. therefore i tried to put on an eliptical layer and this works better. but now: the layer is not showed very clear. there are lines in the showed movie, that have al ot of pixels now. what would be the best resolution (128 * 64 px and a depth of 72 dpi or something like that) to project the movie clearly in the eliptical layer. thanks for your experiences... benjamino
