Hello all, I am demoing Bryce 5 right now. I currently use Poser (4 and 5) and Vue 4. I love how Vue and Poser work together. Is it true that Bryce can not import poser scenes like Vue can? I would have to export the models (as .obj?) or is there a better way? The other thing is, I read someplace that Bryce 5 allows for a lot of control when generating trees. No matter where I look, I can not find out how to do this. I am sure I am just missing something simple. Any tips or comments would be welcomed. I have already been given some help from the bryce/renderosity community, and I want to thank you all for it. --Eryk

For imports there isn't anything that will import a Poser scene, you'll have to export the figures (.obj seems to be best) then import it to Bryce 5, may have to re-apply or adjust the textures. Once you create a tree there should be an "e" next to the mesh. Click it and it will take you to the tree lab.

If I can get this version to do what I want, then I will buy it even if it is possibly a discontinued (or "on hold" product) I just won't wish for new features. Thank you both, --Eryk

Yes, I have Vue 4 and Bryce 4 & 5, and they are both great software packages. Sharen

To access treelab just create a tree and click on the little "E" in the box. (I don't know if the demo has it). IMO Bryce and Vue are both awesome programs some give and take of course. Generally speaking, I like Vue's preset plants a little bit more than Bryce (especially the coconut palms), of course I wish it had the control of plants that Bryce has. IMO Bryce is great for modelling buildings/robots/architecture, maybe better than Vue. Vue's skys look like they have more volume than Bryce's. Both are capable of almost the same things, slight differences.
