In assembly room menu "File, edit, view, insert, windows, and help" In modeling room menu "File, edit, sections, arrange, geometry, windows, web, help" There is only "3D Boolean" in assembly room under "Edit" menu. It is not part of tutorial in the book. It won't boolean substract my head obj and spline objs. I need it to happen so the spline objs won't touch the head for the dynamics in Poser. Waldoo
It must be a vertex object. Assuming you have two vertex objects in the Modelling Room that overlap: Ctrl + A to select the whole of both objects (everything is red). Now you can select Boolean Union or Boolean Intersection from the Polymesh menu. For Boolean Subtraction, with both vertex objects selected [everything red], Ctrl+Alt click on one point(vertex) of the object you want to remain. The point should turn yellow (for some reason it doesn't always on my machine but it still works). Then choose Boolean Subtraction from the Polymesh menu. HTH
I should also have said: If you're doing this in the Assembly Room, make sure you have two objects selected (Shift-click in the sequencer) then choose Edit>3D Boolean. You should then get the choices of what to add or take away from what. In the Assembly Room they don't have to be vertex objects but you must have two (and only two) objects both selected.

I ve been trying to use Boolean Operation in Carrara 1. It won't let me select it under "Edit/3D Boolean" I read the books over and over and over. I still could not get anywhere to select boolean. Where can I find Polymesh Menu? Waldoo
