I'm guessing you are running into problems working with Zipped installers. Ron Knight has a tutorial using a application called "PowerDesk Utilities" at this address: http://www.ronknights.com/install/index.htm

If you want to use Winzip, I attached a little tutorial I made for a friend to this post. Just follow the instructions in red, and obviously point Winzip to your Poser 5 folder instead of Poser 4. My tutorial assumes that the person who put together the Zip file included the path info (RuntimeGeometries etc.) so Winzip knows where to put the files.

I am having a problem installing the models into the different runtime folders. don't the obj. files and p2z,png, andcrz files have to go into special folders. Please reply back. Thanks

They do go into different folders. If you have a good ZIP file, they will go in the right places when you check the USE FOLDER NAMES BOX. You can tell if it is a good ZIP by looking for PATH information in the main WINZIP Screen. There are a bunch of tutorials about this sort of thing, including in this very forum a few messages away. Personally, I recommend Ploader from Free Stuff, or PInstall from the Marketplace if you are going to be doing a lot installing. These programs will read the files involved and install them in the correct places. good luck, e.d.
