I don't think so, maybe someone can change if for you. Sharen

Maybe Metasequoia can make a model posable? Or a demo version of Lightwave, C4D, Maya, 3DSMAX etc.

Normally I model the model in the right pose when I model outside Bryce.

DAZ is working on one..though if you read the fine print, you notice that it doesn't save either, until version 2, later this year. Neither version is expected out until Summer or so. (If Daz wants to correct me and bring it out earlier, just say the word..;). The Japanese have a similar program called Shade, but it's likely to be just as expensive.

Sorry, none right now, none like Poser anyway, or priced at Poser. You would have to buy a high-end program to rig the .3ds mesh. (3DStudioMax, etc)

Attached Link: http://www.anim8or.com/

You could try anim8tor, it's free and allows you to "bone" meshes. It imports .3ds

Well, there ya go! I didn't know anim8or did that! AS

Life Forms was given away on one of the issues of 3D world last year, maybe they have some back issues left over.

I've used Metasequoia to bend limbs and make some minor pose changes. Its a bit of work but doable. As for anim8or, I'll have to revisit that again. Didn't know it had bones.

Why not buy a back issue of a magazine with poser 3 (full version) on it, there was a spate of it being the featured freeby towards the end of last year. (for Example Computer Arts/ PC Format / PC Pro - I'm thinking UK here but there must be equivalents if you're not UK based.
