Subject: V3 Breast Size

ricewind ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 1:14 PM · edited Sat, 30 November 2024 at 9:48 PM

How does one go about getting particular breast sizes in Poser? For instance, if I specifically wanted a 38DD bust on V3, what settings would I need to use? Thanks

ladynimue ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 1:18 PM

Why?????? Sorry, just have to ask this question :) ladynimue :)

FishNose ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 1:36 PM

Oh come off it ladynimue, don't be so darn smug and supercilious. Your taste is your taste, rice's taste is another thing. Geez... As to the original question, just spin the higher number BreastSize dials till you're happy. Easy. Add some 'natural', 'droop' etc if you want realistic, otherwise not. If not, use 'cleavage' and BreastLift for instance. For that Zeppelin look lol The one that gives best shape is generally dial 6. :] Fish

lol that is pretty big. Marque

I say she is about 38 D without turning the dials. All the Poser women are a long way from being flat-chested!

FishNose ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 3:00 PM

Wow Ji, that's about a 44EE, not bad.... lol Reminds me a LOT of Bill Ward's style, great stuff! :] Fish

ricewind ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 3:58 PM

To ladynimue - I want that particular size because I saw a photo and the breasts were listed as 38DD. I liked the proportions and began to wonder if there was a way to get a specific size in Poser without "eyeballing" the work - so to speak. I do want a natural look, even though the Voluptuous Vicky look is, uhm, interesting too. Thanks for the support FishNose.

Dizzie ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 4:30 PM

Jim...38D? NO WAY! Try 40 GG ...LOL Rice..."I do want a natural look"...double D's aren't natural looking...

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 4:30 PM

LOL gees fishnose ease up. She was being nice about the whole thing . And its ok to find it amuseing. Seems how she is a female and would probly understand better than any of us here what it means be uhh that large.

Momcat ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 4:58 PM

DD is certainly natural if it's natural. I was a 40 DD for a while after my son was born, and I think they were pretty nice. DD really isn't that (unnaturally) big unless it's on a petite woman.

Lyrra ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 6:01 PM

All of us Poser mods are just a wee bit tired of VIckies breasts at this point. The whole housemouse thing? hey we bribed DAZ to make more cute stuff to get you guys away from Vickies underwear drawer .... As for size - the number is the bandsize (ribcage just under the breasts) the letter corresponds to the number difference bewteen the band size and the actual bust measurement. DD has 6 inches difference, and A has an inch or less. The most common bra size in the us is 38C. Certain styles (especially for larger women) compress things to make them smaller. (thank god!) And of course the infamous Wonderbra to give a little more oomph to smaller ladies (and some gents)

Dizzie ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 6:11 PM

LOLOLOL Lyrra! Well said! Right On House Mouse!

SamTherapy ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 6:26 PM

My ex gf is a 40 DD and I can assure you they are completely natural.

Thank you for all of the comments. The character I am thinking of would be a tall woman - 5'8" I think - she would be rubenesque light BBW. However, the more I think of it, the more I wonder if there exists some type of Poser measurement chart or dials listing for a chest/waist/hip sort of thing. I know that there is one for height. BTW: I apologize for not knowing more about how this would affect the female with that breast size. And yes, I bought that stupidly cute mouse. I resisted as long as I could, but the outfits and the poses finally wore me down. The housemouse, the kitty, the puppy, that morphing bear. I'm so ashamed.

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 6:40 PM

ricewind The good Doctor Geep made a chart one time, You might ask him.

"All of us Poser mods are just a wee bit tired of VIckies breasts at this point." I hope you're kidding .. and its good to see that you are the duly elected representative and arbitor of what ALL of the poser mods want/dont want to see rendered in poser "The whole housemouse thing? hey we bribed DAZ to make more cute stuff to get you guys away from Vickies underwear drawer ...." "you guys"??? if by that you mean all those horrible heterosexual male cro-magnon hunter gatherers who appear to be using computer polygons and rendered bit map pixels to create highly idealized and stylized fantasy female images than you may as well quit your moderator postion and leave the poser/DAZ community and seek someplace where your sensitve eyes can be "safe" Vicky is NOT a living person but a $$lucritve$$$ digital content product from DAZ she does not really have and underwear Drawer to be "raided" or otherwise violated by MALE DAZ customers so please spare us the moral elitism.

Frankly, I don't see that many male briefs out there..(sure there's some out there..;) I wonder if someone will figure out a Graf Zepplin morph for those in the silicone-enhanced world..sounds like a Renderotica prop..;) how big can they get? anything over a mou...woops..did I say that?..;)

http://www.fallencity.net/lore/index.php Thanks tasquah. I found a 9 foot scale in free stuff and your mention of Dr. Geep touched off a few brain cells - I remembered a URL. This is a very interesting conversation. Is it called a conversation, this?

I just found this as well under a search for poser units

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 8:33 PM

thats good ricewind but he also did one were he went into great detail on the mesurments of the P4 woman ( Possete ) it entailed detail as to how he reached his conclusions .

ricewind ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 8:34 PM

Ok. I think I've figured it out. If I follow Lyrra's instruction and use Dr. Geep's scale, I can use a ring prop to create a 38" diameter measure and another ring prop measure at 38 + 6 = 44" diameter. Then I place these around Vic in the appropriate areas, line up the backs and scale away. Thanks people!

ricewind ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 8:37 PM

Thanks tasquah, I'll look for it. I'm also going to keep up the search for more Poser measuring techniques. It's time I learned.

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 22 March 2003 at 8:55 PM

You will find lots of contraversy there as well. Size is relitive as far as 3D models go. One program will say its this another that. P5 and P4 do not even have the same size . During a update 1 poser unit was changed in size and opened up a big can of worms. Useing the Doc's tutorials is the best way to learn sizes and scales .

I sorta ment "regular" vickie was about a 38D, I'd say poor Hi-Fashion Vickie is about a 52 DDDDDDD here. I've got one of the Posette around somewhere too, this one is called "The first thing that men do..." ;-)

dialyn ( ) posted Sun, 23 March 2003 at 12:19 PM

What's really sad is that somewhere someone is getting wet hands over that picture. I just wonder why it is so much fun to place fantasy women in humiliating positions? I bet there's a nasty little psychology behind this. Probably explains other things as well. Pathetic.

wolf359 As the senior moderator of the poser forum I think I have a better idea than you do of what the other two mods are thinking. But thank you so very much for making your opinions known. And BTW, lest you think I don't approve of naked women I suggest you go check my gallery. Ricewind, good to hear your sizing woes are solved. JumBurton that just looks painful! I knew a lass who was 5'4" and naturally 38J ...poor thing

Momcat ( ) posted Mon, 24 March 2003 at 5:16 AM

38J? Ouch! My sympathies.

ladynimue ( ) posted Mon, 24 March 2003 at 11:13 AM

ricewind,

I apologize to you for what you perceived as a flip answer to your question. I truly was just being silly - thus the reasons for all the happy-faces :)

I had just read your post after several hours of Poser Gallery viewing, that particular day there were several Over-Huge Renderings of Vicky's Breasts (not just large mind you, but OVER-HUGE).

To be honest I am not offended by these images and occasionally they do make me chuckle. Not that large breasts are humorous, but that someone could create such over-large breasts in Poser without them exploding when they are rendered.

My best friend has very large breasts and she is constantly complaining about her aching back. So I understand how painful in real life they can be. I can only imagine how poor Vickie must be feeling ;]

However, the bottom line is; that even though my intentions were to put a bit of humor in the day, it was still very disrespectful for me to make a joke of anyone's question for help! Please be assured that I did not in anyway mean to berate your Poser style nor your need for information.

I am glad that your question was answered in a helpful manner, and again, please forgive me for my moment of indiscretion.

Sincerely,
ladynimue

dialyn ( ) posted Mon, 24 March 2003 at 11:44 AM

Jim Burton, I understood it was supposed to be funny. I think Lyrra's original remarks were intended to be humrous as well...but you're not telling what's his face he should lighten up. No, of course, it is the little woman who doesn't have a sense of humor. I'm not apologizing. It's still pathetic.

lmckenzie ( ) posted Mon, 24 March 2003 at 11:19 PM

I think "humiliation" is in the eye of the beholder and the mind of the person assuming the position. Clearly, Vicky's opinion, being virtual, doesn't count. It seems that a little money or 15 minutes of fame can do a lot to make humiliation attractive - why else would people be lining up to go on Jerry Springer or eat pig anuses on Fear Factor.

ricewind ( ) posted Tue, 25 March 2003 at 7:50 PM

To ladynimue - I was not in the least offended by your question nor by any of the ensuing comments. All is grist for the mill, as it were. I enjoy "realistic" renderings for my own public production and I was interested in getting it right. It would be the same as: "How do I get the terrier to be the right size, next to that table and both to that chair - even when I turn the camera?" I realized there had to be some sort of measurement scheme reflective of the real world and wondered if anyone knew where it was. "There has to be!!!!" BTW: I don't offend easily. My being creativite is me taking chances, learning all I can and moving on to the next project. And sometimes going back to the nasty review on the artists' page to see if I can make a nice picture out of it. Ideas are everywhere. Wince and you might miss one.
