Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I smoke too. And drink quite a significant amount of alcohol at times, but I usually reserve that for when I'm writing. :)

To break with tradition, no smokee. Kill a 2 liter of diet caffeine, listen to specific energy music depending on what I'm doing (action oriented would be things like AfroCelt SoundSystem, Movie soundtracks like Conan, LOTR, Kull, Krull, etc. Yanni and Dagda on the hit parade for fantasy and interpretive. Also as pacing music for animation play). Aside from that, to insert any object into my field of view is to be flirting with traumatic injury.

Watch tv or anime (Hellsing rocks!), or listen to music. If I'm writing, then I play soft, Celtic music or environmental CDs like beach waves hitting the surf or rain in the forest. If I'm rendering, then it's fun stuff to sing to: Tom Lehrer, Weird Al, the Muppets, etc. And occassionally skritch the cats, especially the one who tries to edge me out of my chair. (Like right now, in fact.)

Think that's bad? I haven't even done a NVIATWAS! So there! NVIC, NSVIATWAMW, NTVWWAF,NVMMDVDNPT(M)IDDCK, NVPEOS, NVAMITPAP, but not NVIATWAS! I didn't even do the Bryce Ball over water when I had access to Bryce! And the last time I smoked anything was years ago, when I accidentally grounded out a power supply. There's just something about the aroma of roasted circuitry that...really freaks the clueless... >:)

It's not the aroma of the circiuitry, its the awful Don King hairstyle that's truly frightening.

juggle cats, chase the monkeys around the room and try to confiscate their liquor, plot world domination... usually I listen to music, unless I'm too sunk into what I'm doing to put anything on... I just listen to whatever I'm in the mood to listen to, it ususally has nothing to do with what I'm working on at the moment. Soundtracks, techno, pop, rock, world... it's all good.
