... or, "underlife after the party's finished" :) Lots of fun (and haste) in making this one. My first pic with the new machine and my first challenge participation ever, wow! Almost managed to crash the New One: with 31 BooleAntz the object count went up to near 20,000... LOL I think I screwed up the DOF a bit... I will re-render it for the gallery at higher res and settings. As for the rules: 1. Photographic textures on the floor, the coke can, the Camel pack, the pizza. 2. Metaballs for major body parts of the BooleAntz and for the spilled Coke. 3. Imports: chairs by TonyLynch, coke can. Very minor postwork, color-correcting and brigthening a bit to cure the DOF illness :) The rest is by meself. This challenge was so good to learn lot of things about metaballing, thanx a lot guys. Ah, almost forgot: the pizza is a symmetrical lattice :) [and, to be honest, the photo texture is of a slice of salame... ehm, it worked better] ... Again, S.

Can I just say Stefano that on looking at the image again I thought it would look great if there was one ant crawling up the lens as if it was a camera on the floor and the ant is investigating. 8) It would also be good to see one of your ants close up. Catlin

Catlin, the ants on the lens is a GOOD idea!!! Gotta use it some time or other (yep, I will be using those ants a lot, plus right now I'm boolean-metaballing a spider...). As for the close-up, I'm re-rendering the image right now to solve this problem. If I finish in time, I will submit the new one for the challenge and not this. For Tres: Yeah, but luckily we have all the day to clean up, honey... honey? Darling??!? Where are you?
