This is a VERY basic tutorial on Darth Logice's discovery (well, it was new to most of us...!) of creating perspective UVs for seamless mapping. Any improvements and supplementary notes are more than welcome. Have fun

Well done thip. Two small tips for anyone starting to play with the Grouping Tool for the first time. 1) You do not have to select different camera views, stick with the main camera, move the Grouping tool dialogue panel over to the right, and use the trackball and other controls to move around your selected bodypart and move in and out etc. 2)Near the bottom of the Grouping Tool dialogue panel is a small box which if ticked will hide other body parts while you are working. This is really handy for tricky bits. STORM

Thanks Thip...I haven't had time to set up something like this and even if I did, it would be 100% more shitty :) -Darth_Logice

O.K., but how does this procedure differ from the results you get by just opening the map in UV Mapper, selecting a material you applied (in Poser) or just selecting the polygons, and remapping that area in Planar mapping with the right rotation (with the option to pick other forms of mapping, too)?

Um, this is easier -Darth

Thanks Thip for the tutorial, thanks Darth for your discovery!!!

Darth- O.K., I buy easier. It is often difficult to figure out exactly what UV Mapper is doing, when you rotate a mapping you sort of have to look at it and work backward to try and see what you did - moving a camera is easier in Poser!

Wow. Great tutorial, thank you. May help with my scheme of putting hairdos on the body texture maps. I've done morphs for the texture rather than bump maps, i'll load to Free Stuff as soon as I get a map from Ghostofmacbeth... so far my own maps are awefull because I can't line up the seams properly. This "visual" tutorial is really easy to grasp.
