Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 22 9:27 pm)
Just out of curioisity, are you: 1) Using an unpatched or early version of the patched Poser 4? 2) Saving custom figures/scenes using multiple "figures" (i.e., conforming clothing, or "composed" characters)? This SOUNDS like what I had happen with some of the middle numbered patches when I tried to save characters with clothing. If that's what's happening, download the latest patch (MANUAL install version!!!!) from either Ghost Effects or MetaCreations, and the problem should go away for NEW figures, but the saved ones are PROBABLY toast.
If you're going to save Figure 1, be sure you have selected Figure 1's Body before saving the figure to the library. This will ensure you save the pose, morphs, props etc. with the figure. If you have selected only the Head, I'm not sure how the rest of the figure will react upon reloading, but the Head should save fine. (Partial poses? I need to look into this...) BTW, I have had great success saving figures with conforming clothes etc. like this. My library overfloweth.

Poser is SO Darn Wacky! It changes how it works EVERY time I use it.I hope someone can tell me WHY when I open Poser and try to load a figure I made and stored in the library,it DOES NOT look like the figure I created?I dont get it.Can anyone help? This also happens if I Import a Pz3 I made. The Figures face takes on a standard look, not the way I saved it.Thanks.
