Well, it's been some time because that road was quite a long one :) but she's finally ready to enter beta testing and I thought I'd give you a small preview. Lourdes Mercado and I would like to present you our latest in M&M Productions. She comes with two distinctly different outfits, one a dress and the other a bodice and loin cloth so whatever you prefer, the mythological or more fantasy look can be achieved. Of course both are complemented by a range of props and a rich variety of textures. Here's an example of the dress outfit.

Fantastic!!! Can't wait for these ... it's been a while since I did a mythological piece, but now you've inspired me. :-)

But she's not just for Vicki 3, also included are Vicki 1/2 and Stephanie versions in separate cr2's and .obj's for better fitting of the clothing. Clothing items and some props come with a wide array of morphs to help you create individual looks.

An example of an image rendered using the Valkyrie (and the Viking) can be seen here. Not that I'm biased or anything but I like it :)

I'm curious about the "breast plates." Are these historically correct?

Fabulous!!! I've over-spent this month already but this one's gonna be added to my wish list for sure! :) Irene

She's a mythological being Rhiannon so I wouldn't know :) It's just that the first outfit incorporates more Norse elements and based on famous works of art featuring Valkyrie's most notably Arthur Rackham's. The other, with the loincloth is more fantasy oriented. Valkyries were female "spirits" summoned by Odin to serve him by choosing the bravest heroes who fell in battle and taking them to him in Valhalla where they would constitute his army to fight when Ragnarok would come. At Valhalla, the Valkyries assumed roles more traditionally held by females at the time and donned long robes while serving mead to Odin and the heroes.

:-) Well, yes Jon, I realize a Valkyrie is considered a mythological being ... I've studied the Norse, from a bit of a historical viewpoint as well as Pagan/mythological ... my question was simply meant to inquire if your designs were based on myth, legend, historical information, etc. I'm familiar with Arthur Rackham's pieces, I'm fond of a few of his works, although I've never liked the Valkyrie images much ... they seem to have been a bit "toned down" and stodgy in comparision to the visions that come up when reading some of the older legends and stories. Thanks!

This is gorgeous! Can I ask if you're still working on a peasant's pack?

Jon ( ) posted Sat, 12 April 2003 at 6:19 PM

Heh, sorry Rhiannon, I really couldn't tell from your question what you meant :) Many of her props are based on historical sources much like the Viking's but the final outcome is more of a personal interpretation. Thank you for asking. Spit, it's our hope that we will be able to get something like that out for all the Millenium folk but I can't tell you a date yet. It's still in early stages. Thanks everybody for your comments!

Hi Jon, Can't remember your answer previously when I asked about this pack but does it come with the horned helmet like the one for Mike too ? The ones they use in Operas.
