Well this is what I did this weekend. :) I still have to make it posable. No problem though. See, I am finishing all those projects I started. Even the ones from a year ago. lol Seriously though, one of the things I like about being a digital scuptor is that you always inadvertently become an expert on whatever you're modelling at the time. I end up gathering so much research material on each subject I feel like I just took a course. Anton, who knows too much now about, dragons, bones, hair, shoes, weather, gargoyles, gorilla, peacocks, the borg, baby faces, monkeys, dinosaurs,neo-classical architecture, old world clothing, teeth, eyes, venus fly traps, panthers, and other things that got pushed out to make room.

All bones were modelled by me; just in case someone is wondering. Nothing borrowed. And if you morph the horns down and make the wings invisible you have a dino skeleton.

Anton, You have done a gargoyle? Is there any way to see some of the other stuff you've done before some of us got here? (I think you need to feed your dragon) heh Thanks, Marque

Everything I've posted is at the Props Guild. But there are many projects that are is various stages of completion. Picnic's post on the horse skeleton motivated me to finish this dragon. The Gargoyle is not completed enough for preview. I am very picky on the way my meshes look, even though you never see it when it's rendered. The Gargoyle mesh was being buit when Zygote came out with there Dragon. It was so human like that I figured peoped would just scall the neck and add their own heads. So the future of the project became unclear. Also humanoid meshes are a huge challenge to the freehand digital scuptor. But I have been working on it lately. It will be done eventually, but other projects like hair and the one I've previewed lately have taken priority. Hang in there.

Wow, thats cool. Did you reference dinosaur skeletons to make it, or is it entirely from your imagination?

That is sooooo cool! You never cease to blow my skull Anton! :o)> BubbaScuba

Thanks. Oh yes there was lots of study for this one. Over the past few years I've bought tones of books for reference on various projects. It is painstakenly acurate. Nothing goes to waste. I recycle all my meshes. Now that I have a library of bones, I can build other creatures as well, eventually.

Anton, Put any thought into making a horse skeleton. I thought about it, but can't find much research material. I did come across a visible horse and cow model for sale on the net. I may get one, they don't look too expensive. -JH. Great work btw ;-)

Very cool indeed! Great work!

Anton_Kisiel ( ) posted Mon, 29 May 2000 at 2:24 PM

Yeah Jeff, it's up aat the top of the list now. :) jschoen, Just a funny story. A lomg time ago Jack and I were playing around in a thread when PFO was using this software for their site. Well!! I inserted some html in the subject box and changed ALL the headings in the forum into big blinking letters or red or something like that. They fixed it quickly and very very nice about it. After feeling sooooooooo cool and savy, I quietly slunk away from me computer and went to my room where I lay very still for a long time. That was the extent of my html career. Jack, remember that. Oh that was a dark day for Anton

All my stuff will be available soon. Hang in there. I appreciate everyone being patient. Thanks

Hi, the skeleton looks great - especially the skull. But will there be a sternum and shoulderplates? Joerg

Anton_Kisiel ( ) posted Mon, 29 May 2000 at 6:30 PM

no. Not all species especially dinosaurs and birds have sturnums or shoulder plates. It has to to with mobility in the chest. Also most creatures don't have four legs and two wings. But you could always make some yourself and parent them to the figure. There are shoulder bones in the pic but it is more eleongated than on modern species. (see Psittacosaurs, Protoceratopids, Pteranodon, Carosaurs, etc, etc, etc)

Oh, I see... But it does look great! Joerg

Marque, one of my especial favorites of Anton's (besides his photorealistic P4 textures) is the peacock. Now that is REALLY neat. I've used it a couple of times and have to think 'big' thoughts when I take it into Bryce (easy, tho, in Poser) and use the transparencies for the tail (and add some extra tails), but I just love the model. Look it up and then try it--wonderful!! Diane B

Thank Diane! You are right, it's too cool, makes me want to do more with these programs. =) Marque

::jaw hangs open:: That is extremely impressive Anton, absolutely excellent Paul (Who once managed to change all the headings in the Compaints forum to Bold and Font Size +3)
