You can export sequence of obj files from poser and use freeware to convert to 3ds animation. (see habj site).Try doing an animation with a character in poser pro 4 and exporting using a program called maximum pose II by a guy called conan...very useful(doesn't work for poser5 but this scarcely matters)...exports textures as well..It creates a maxscipt but I don't know if director 8.5 will accept maxscripts.OPf course, if u have max this is no prob. Also you can export DAZ models as meshes in max and use biped to place skeletons in them. Then apply bvh or mocap files to model. Also...expression morphs can be transferred to max by exporting different expressions as morph targets, importing into max and then using morph modifier to act as expression dials. Hope this helps.. hello, can anybody explain me how to import poser 5 animations into max? The thing is, i am develloping for a project in uni a 3d game in director 8.5. A part in the game is a running 3d character. because i cant really use any 3d programs, i simply used poser to animate a character with the walk designer. But the problem in director is, that it can only import max files, this means, i have to use max to convert my poser file into the w3d-format. But how can i import a whole animation? when i export the running animation from poser to the 3ds-format, i get a max file for each frame. do i have to do it frame by frame? are there any easier possibilities of creating a running character in max? i wouldnt mind using a ready made 3d model. the difficult part for me is to do a proper and smooth running animation. thank you for your help, cheers martin
