Hi! I am trying to figure out why my eyelashes always look like bricks on poor Michael's eyes. My settings work for everything else, but here are the eyelash settings: Highlight Size: 24% Transparency Min: 0% Transparency Max: 100% Transparencey Falloff: 0% I have "Apply Texture to Highlight" checked, and "Multiply Through Lights" and "Multiply Through Object Color" under Reflection Map checked. I have these colors: Object Color: White Highlight Color: Black Ambient Color: Black Reflective Color: White Thanks in advance for any help! :) White Raven

Do you have a transmap applied? Without that, the eyelashes wil never look right.

and also changes both transparency settings to 100 and even if you dont have a transmap the eye lashes shouldnt show :)

how do you make a transmap?

You can get them from almost everywhere but the character ussally comes with one but to make one the black is what wont be visible and the white is what will be visible

I was wondering cause I got the victoria yesterday. But I need to make better eyebrows and lashes for her. I understand the black and wghit thing. But where to I get the template? I mean, what do I color? And are the brows done the same way?

It should be in there with victoria look in your runtime folder

looksgood ( ) posted Sat, 26 April 2003 at 9:54 PM

Hi! Thank you to everyone who responded. :) Can you mix-and-match eyelashes? By that I mean, can I use one character's eyelashes with another for Michael and/or Victoria? Thanks in advance! :) White Raven

Ah, lol I just made the transmap. Thx. I know how to do it now thx to you.

Im not sure i dont think so becuase they might each have differnt templates and using them make cause him to have vicky's face or something on his eyes :)

You can usually use different transparency maps between Victoria characters, but you can not swap between Victoria and Mike. Some Victoria textures paint the eyebrows on the texture itself and make the real, external eyebrows completely transparent. Other texture maps use the eyebrow materials. You'll get funky results if you mix and match those. The eyelash transparencies will work seamlessly between different Victoria textures. Mike textures only work on Mike. Even Stephanie's eyelashes textures don't quite work properly with Mike or anyone else, as the mapping is just slightly different there. (Steph and Mike share the same basic mesh.) Hope this is clear, Cres
