The coat it done and personally I think it is a beauty. The hands are also finished, but those are bryce metaballed ones and this is still a 3 sec Amapi render. Now all I need is a head. Has anyone got a paper-bag texture? Just in case... (no seriously!) The paperbag was catlin's idea (if I remember correctly), but it's a nice humorous solution if I can't finish the head in time.

Only 12 hours remaining :( AS can you make an exception for me if I don't make the deadline? Something like half a day extra?

Wow I'm immpressed! Is it mostly metaballs or is it terrains, primatives or something else?

This is still 100% curve-by-curve Amapi modelling. The only part of the character that's going to be brycian are the hands and the textures. I used curves to draw a low-res model and then I used several different smoothing modes to create a high-res model that looks good.

I know where to get paper bag textures Lemog. They added paper textures there recently. Oh and they've just added human skin, lots of different skin textures from the smooth to the hideous. You should check it out. Catlin

Hitting the renderbotton in about 15 to 30 minutes. It's a really heavy scene now that the character has got 2800 poly-hairs :) I'll probably be finished rendering tomorrow morning so if I make sure I wake up early I'll be just in time for the 24:00 CST deadline.
