pokeydots ( ) posted Fri, 07 February 2003 at 6:25 PM · edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 5:21 PM

Does anyone remember what files we are suppose to remove before we install the update? I must have deleted the e male from daz, and I don't want to remove something I'm not suppose too! Thanks :)

Here ya go: Before running the installer please delete the following folders from your Poser Runtime folder to insure only the correct files are on your computer. Depending on the date you bought the Male Pak, some of these folders may not be present on your computer. "MalePak" in Runtimelibraries!DAZVictoria 3 "!V3 MalePak Heads" in Runtimelibrariesface "!MAT V3 MalePak" "!V3 MalePak INJ" "!V3 MalePak REM" "!V3 MalePak CH INJ" and "!V3 MalePak CH REM" in RuntimelibrariesPose

Thanks for asking! I didn't even bother looking at the readme. (Some day I'll learn not to be such a spaz. Not today, obviously, but some day.)

Odd thing when I was doing that same deleting chore earlier today---there were no V3Male files in the Face Library at all...? Even did a search of the HD to see if they went somewhere else, but none showed up...?

Patricia, "Depending on the date you bought the Male Pak, some of these folders may not be present on your computer." As quoted, some folders/files may not exist on your machine. Most were created by the original installer. The folder/files in the face library were created by an update (which is no longer applicable). The new installer Ryan has been contacting everyone who purchased the MalePak about, is a replacement for the original installer... The original one is safe to delete along with the files it created once you have downloaded the replacement. -Rob
