Okay well, I have created my first clothing textures and before I attempt to put them in free stuff I have a couple questions. Well first can I have someone test them first? Or when going in free stuff are they just put up as is? I have tried them and they look fine to me but being my first time, I need opinions... The textures are for Netherworks tribal wear for Vicki 2 & 3 I am including a quick shot of what the texture looks like and hopefully I did this right. All I can see that may be a problem is on the bottom right hand corner of the skirt.. that black square.. Thanks and if it is something that people would want to have, any testers let me know??

If you can center the design a bit, or adjust it, the pattern, that is, it will probably take care of the square. The square is just part of the normal pattern, but it ends up in the wrong place because of the positioning of the texture's pattern.

Ok changed the angle and came up with this...

Are you using an UV mapped template, or aplying a generic patern directly onto the model?

I am using a uv mapped template isnt that how it is supposed to be done.. I have never tried it before so bear with my newness. LOL

I would adjust the location of the pattern so that it is centered on both pieces. A person making such a garment out of such intricate fabric would be more likely to cut them that way. Plus it will look better IMHO. Lyrra

The remark Lyrra made is basicaly why i asked :) With a templated texture you can adjust the positioning of the patern easier then if using teh quicky method of aplying a generic pattern directly to model. You're doing nothing wrong, but I would also vote for a more symetrical placement of the pattern. Cheers, Axe.

Okay thanks to both Axe and Lyrra. I may try to get it more even or just make it black textured with maybe that pattern for the trim... I'll keep at it and show ya'll my results. Annette

Thats what i would do is to move the big circle on the top piece to the ver center and work outwards from there. The top of the circle right between the bottoms of her breast's. And on the bottom the same thing. I changed the color a bit and moved it to give you a idea of were to possibly start at.
