Just wondering.... How many more naked, blonde white chicks do we have to see before DAZ finally comes out with Michael 3.0? I really don't care much about Vicki 2, 3, 3.5, 4.0, 69.. whatever... I don't have anything against Koshini but I wouldn't buy her, anymore than I would buy Anna Marie. They may be all very well, but it's just too much duplication for me. I'm not looking forward to two things about Mike 3...that he will be a memory gobbler equal to Vicky 3, and that Daz will be as slow about creating useful clothes for him. There's some inconsistency in their support for their characters.

Cruzan: I tend to have that problem about forgetting clothes on Mike too! But then again, he does look so yummy with those muscles all ripply and that... .. nevermind. Basically.. there's tons of nekkid girls on here.. actually.. everywhere! Why not more nekkid mens too!?!?!?!!

Unfortunately, I may be the only one that feels that I would love to see more reality, lots of different hues, I am a reality sort of person, so perfect people is sort of not there for me...I would like to see average people, you know the ones with wrinkles or not so perfect features, of course I can add them with the dials, so I should not be complaining, guess it would be nice to see those kinds of features shown as the adverstising, but I guess it wouldn't sell. The only thing that bothers me regarding Anna Marie, is the EULA, but not just that, and this is going to sound bad... You know and I know that EULA will be broken, there is no way you can police that sort of thing. If you know it and I know it, why would anyone want to take that chance unless they wanted the exposer....know what I mean? Sharen

I agree {but I do have a problem with kosini she is taking over and..and...~twitches~ she even takes vickies cloths! ~plots the downfall of kosini~} I started to play with mike abit and he seems more versatile then I originally thought I too wish to see M3 and some figures that are not just white blonde anglo saxon typical playboy figures. I would love to see more ethnic figures with something other then tinted skin.

Although I'm not a fan of naked dudes, I agree with the view of our female comarades here at Renderosity, there are way too many Nekid Vikis in Temples images araound here, I admire the female form as much as the next guy, but if I wanna see a nekid woman I'll just look at my girlfriend (....after begging and pleading for about 1-2 Hours or so and afted buying her dinner. yes I'm wipped, and darn proud of it).

I would like see more ethnic people as well, with the correct ethnic clothing...tired of "white" girls myself & the whole sci-fi thing...would like to see some "normal" things for a change...not that all the rest aren't good. Vacation items would be nice as well...ie. African safari-safari outfits.....Space suit for astronaut these types of things instead of pirates/poets/Roman Empire things... Deb

Sharen, we may be in the minority but we do exist. That's why I like your real life props so much....I really think there is great beauty in the ordinary life. That art isn't all about being gorgeous but being alive. That sometimes a wrinkled hand holds more grace than a smooth one. That may be just me, but it's really how I feel. Of course being over 50 might have something to do with it.

I guess you just have to know where to look if you want good Michael textures and clothes. Thip & renapd, Isop and PoserWorld have quite a few things for him and there are also good body textures out there too. The sad fact is that most people don't want to see pictures of Michael. I've made quite a few images using him, but they get a small number of looks and comments. Guess that's why Daz is not in a hurry to create a new guy...the interest just doesn't seem to be there.

You know I saw a render here of Michael, and I will never forget it...it was amazing...the one that resembeled Gondolf...(you know the dude in Lord of the Rings) it was amazing and I am sorry I don't remember the artist...but it is here and just amazing. Sharen

I'll add my voice to the chorus. 'Yes!' to diversity. Even if I'm a male 'WASP', I still get fed-up seeing this endless procession of nekkid white girls. The only hope is this. Now that DAZ have the V3 mesh done, instead of working to perfect it, they can concentrate on using it as a base for a bunch of new characters that are different. Isn't it weird though? When I was went from poser 2 to poser 4, I was amazed that the characters had hair! Figures like vicki were unimaginable. Now we're bored with her. LOL. We always want more... and that's good. mac

Perhaps you should be saying "naked Caucasian girls"... saying "naked White girls" is like saying "naked Black girls" or "naked Yellow girls" and it's a bit on the "impolite" side. Besides, white is a description for bedsheets and corpses, not people.

While I tend to agree with the basic sentiment, here, and love my wonderful collection of African, Latino/a and Asian textures for Mike and Vicky, I can just imagine what would happen if someone complained about an excess of Poser textures of any non-caucasian ethnicity. The accurate screams of "racism!" would be ear-splitting, and quite possibly the thread would be locked. While I'm not bashing anyone in this thread or anything that's been said, I respectfully offer as food for thought the fact that complaints about an overabundance of "white" representation is also essentially racist, or at least has the potential to come across that way. Again, not calling names or making ugly allegations . Yes, I do recognize the imbalance, and find it embarassing at times, but maybe think about it a little. I agree .. I also see people that make textures of other varieties but I rarely see any of them in the galleries. Could just be that people aren't posting them. I know I have seen hardly any renders of my latest figure but have sold a few. And just so everyone knows it was loosely based on someone of hispanic decent, well at least the texture was. Later

I think the thing that is really frustrating is that unless you are doing pinups, people are really hesitant about looking at your images. It's almost gotten to the point where I don't post a thumbnail unless it contains a beautiful white woman (with the exception of my latest, which has a beautiful black woman). As far as diversity goes, it would be great to have more African American, Hindi, Hispanic, Asian, Polynesian, Native American, Senior citizen, etc textures. I think one of the reasons that there is so many white women in the gallery is because the white textures are more really available in the freestuff. In addition, just darkening a caucasian texture does not make a figure look more ethnic. Lastly, I'll be the first to admit (just look at my gallery) to getting stuck in a rut where it doesn't always occur to me to maybe depict someone who isn't white. It's just force of habit, but I'm trying to step out of it a little more.

As a newbie, I am surprised that, with as many talented people as are here, that there are not more "different" characters than there are. Fill the niche, merchants! :D As for my own doodles, all of my girls (and guys) are white and naked because: I only have the figures that came with P5 and still have trouble with clothing. :p

My desire is to ask for a broader spectrum of human representation, not to censure the appropriate depiction any particular portion of it. I can't say I feel a need to see more naked Mikes but ethnic Vickies are definitely needed. I think DAZ is just a bit behind the times on this. With the popularity of JLo, Tyra Banks, Lucy Liu, etc. America is embracing a more diverse standard of "beauty." Unfortunately, Poserland is perhaps even more monochromatic than network television, which is saying something. Many threads like this show that there is a market out there but the response has been very small. I'm not sure it says anything but their first Digital Clone represents the blonde Playmate archtype which has been the traditional standard of American pulchritude forever. That's fine but I hope they branch out a little. Of course, they are in Utah which, from my experience is a beautiful state with friendly people, but not exactly a cultural melting pot. At any rate, there is a wealth of naked Mikes in the gay art gallery at R'otica though the swordplay may be a bit extreme for some :-)

First off... PLEAZE don't turn this thread into some kind of a "racial" thing. That is NOT my intention at all. The term "white girls" is simply a header to catch people's attention. My MAIN POINT through all of this is that I want to see MIKE 3!!!!! As I stated earlier, I don't care what version of Vicki in a rainbow spectrum of colors comes out... she is still a skinny "African-American-Caucasian-Asian-Hispanic (where is Hispania anyway)-" chick!
