I wasn't deleting them' I'd just lose them if I transfer. Are you saying when I tranfer back to poser they will be recreated automasticly?

automaticly.

They will be created when you look at the folder in thumbnail view. XP handles that automatically if you have the option to cache thumbnails selected (as I said I don't remember WHERE that option is....possibly Tools menu:folder options in Explorer) It's these little pesky things though that can sometimes 'cause a folder lock in Poser.

Moving between drives means deleting on the source drive and creating on the destination (hopefully not in that order). Moving within a drive just changes the location of the pointer - the file stays put - can't remember if that throws the thumbnails too or not.

"Moving within a drive just changes the location of the pointer - the file stays put - can't remember if that throws the thumbnails too or not. " Should I creat a folder on the same drive as Poser4, and move the files there? I'm getting confused. I thought a different drive would prevent any interference.

As we've said, the warning message is nothing to worry about - it's just housekeeping by Windows and won't cause any problems except possibly an infinitesimal pause when you open the moved folder for the first time. I was just trying to explain why it was appearing, not to torment you!

I never use the Windows File Manager (Windows Explorer), since it always has lacked some important features. I use PowerDesk Utilities. Since I don't use Windows Explorer, I don't have any of that mucky-muck talk about thumbnails. I also use ThumbsPlus for my thumbnail stuff. It's great.
