Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 1:20 pm)
The body is Hulk-ish, but the one aspect everyone misses (it's a toughie in Poser, at least) is the enormously exaggerated hands and feet of the Hulk. I have been a Hulk fan since Marvel started, and that is one characteristic he always has. Nice work, other than that detail! I am anxious to see the movie! Also, Hulk's clothes are always VEERY tight. He expands into them, ripping and stretching, yet never bursting the crotch! Maybe a transmapped catsuit would work best for the pants.
Yes, I dl'ed it, and it is very good, except for the hands and feet, which are normal human proportioned. I tried to expand them by scaling, but it really messes up the joints. How can Hulk-scale hands and feet be made? I have seen it done by Konan with his Extrememorph3D program. He made a figure called Massive, which has huge hands, but is not really similar to Hulk. I know next to nothing about the Joint Parameters, but would guess that combining adjustments there with scaling, it may be possible to get this detail correct.
The only real way to do it is a morph that is permanently applied to the hands and feet, then the JP's completely redone. Mike's hands refuse to scale, and i tried for quite a while. BTW, I'm the one that did the Hulk at Animotions, with muscle morphs by Predator2K (so they were distributable). Compare the Mike Hulk with the Dork Hulk, and you'll see a CONSIDERABLE difference...

Also hulk has next to no neck, but again that would be hard to do in poser

I suggested the ability to get this superthick neck, arms and leg joints to DAZ in my Michael 3 wish list. Even e-mail the Konan Hulk thread to R. Whisenant. I thought there might be a way to inject a joint parameter pose in order to get the model to work with this extreme morphs, if not we need a male figure specially for this muscular monstruous proportions, call it HUGO maybe.
Hi Ming, The pants are much more like the comic version. Needs some rips and tears, especially about the knees. The feet are looking bigger! The neck/shoulders need to be huge. Hulk's ears touch his (damn, I forgot what those muscles are called) muscles. It's hard to settle on what he looks like, as each artist has a distinct version. The current penciller Mike Deodato is doing a great job. I like his Hulk a lot. There is always the Standard - Jack Kirby! This thread is very important - we need a Monstrous Hulk-like capacity in our Poser-models. I intend to try the scale-up, scale-down technique. Looking at the comic, Hulk's fist is larger than his head.

I wonder if you could put a magnet on the hand. Then add all the parts of the fingers to be effected by the magnet. Then increase the scale of the magnet to make the hand bigger. Joe www.3-AXIS.comAttached Link: http://www.3-AXIS.com
There sure is... Once the magnet is created you can select the magnet and add elements to deform. It brings up the heirarchy so you can select and add body parts. Joe www.3-AXIS.comHow I made the hands bigger: Basically, they're only scaled up in the Y and Z axises, individually. The hands are already larger than the rest of the body by means of scaling up the entire figure, then scaling everything else down slightly. The hands end up looking like mittens, but they're in scale.
