Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 1:43 pm)
Well, I just signed back on (had to re download all my favorites due to computer upgrade/scr#$@-up) and the only file I've had a problem with is the Office Scene. All the orther scenes/props I've had no problems with. As far as their freestuff updates, the Shoes seem to be from March, but their new free textures are from 5/11/03. It just might be that they're on vacation... I mean they DO het those don't they?
Sorry, I guess the header over the shoes (see below, Cut and Pasted) refers to the update it originally came from. Not when it was offered for free. "Update #48: March 30th 2003 You can check out what's available so far on the members area (banners free), by following the SubsPreview link at the left navigation bar This week's FREE model is a Sports shoes for all the millennium family except the PS kids"
Interesting. I'll have to check my settings, then. I'm not sure why my WinZip would dislike only one source (that I've noticed). I think it's the latest version, but will have to check. (???) BTW, the subscription to Poserworld was definitely worth it. I recommend it to anyone who's still uncertain. Take care; Chas
Chas, are you on Dial-up? I've had problem there about 3 out of 4 times too, but usually if I RightClick and SaveAs then all goes well. There have been occations where I have had to download 3 or 4 times before a working file came through. Don't know why, I still have problems at PoserPro and getting into the forums at 3D-Arena too but those seem to be the way my ISP runs their connections via the way those sites log you in.....?
No, I'm on cable. This is a situation where I download from a few different sources (including here), and only PW gives me problems (and even that's only since about February). Neither clicking or "Save As" work. Thanks for trying to help. It's obviously technical, so I'll keep at it, including a number of suggestions here that I haven't had a chance to try, yet. Take care; Chas

At least that's what it looks like since it's been a whole month since the last 'weekly' freebie was put out. So what the story here? Inquiring tunas want to know?
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
