Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 6:57 am)
heyas; i dont know what the difference is between 118 and the official 'final' patch (maybe just the packaging?). but it's at um... ghost effects, isn't it, guys? i know that getting duplicate export options is a symptom of not deleting the old plug ins before patching... and i thought that symptom also came with the unavailable checkboxes as well. you can't have those old plug in files anywhere on the same hard drive as poser. (picky, but true.)

I don't think I've seen anyone post this technique. If so, sorry to be redundant. Using the 'Export as Morph Target' feature in 402 you can morph several objects at the same time. Using this method with clothing results in MTs for the clothing that mimic the main figure's MTs. Here's how it's done: 1. Place a Poser figure. Then add a piece of conformable clothing and conform it. 2. Select 'export as .obj' 3. In the parts pop-up select the Poser figure part and the clothing part. 4. In the export pop-up check all options except 'weld' and then export. 5. Import the .obj into your 3D modeling program. 6. Select the vertices for the morph through both meshes. In some modelers you may have to group the meshes. 7. Create your morph. 8. Export the meshes seperately. 9. Apply the meshes as MTs to the figure and to the clothing. The applied MTs will be very similiar in shape as you adjust the dials. I tried this using just the bikini top but see no reason why you couldn't layer several pieces of clothing. Doing so would result in clothing MTs that all work the same as the main figure MTs. I've put an animated .gif file of the result of the first test. You can see it at: http://bushi3d.com/images/MultiMorph1.gif It's about 585K so be warned.
